About Me

My photo
Girl in the spaces between
I’m afraid of these boxes and their silent pressure to write something witty and interesting. I’m merely another patchwork of likes, dislikes and ambiguities. Here are a few pieces of me: My name is Cathy. I’m studying a Masters in Literature. I work for a publishing company making, amongst other things, lots of tea. Me, not the company. I am directionally challenged. This is inherited from my father (to challenge the stereotype). I abhor stereotypes and those who use them, which can include my own hypocritical self. I adore films and spend too much life absorbed in screens. Pizza, poetry and playfulness are my favourite ps in life. I have vivid dreams and nightmares. My heart and mind are invested in a handful of people who keep me sane, they are my core, they are all that matter to me, and I love them unconditionally.

The Women's Room - Marilyn French

"Love is a golden rain that comes down when it will, and as it spatters in your open palm you exclaim over its brightness, its wonderful moistening of your dry life, its glitter, its warmth. But that’s all. You can’t hold on to it. It can’t fill all of you"
